About the Instructor
In many workplaces people use the term "Heard!" as a response to signify that they have received and understood the information or message being communicated to them. It's a way of acknowledging that they have heard what was said without necessarily providing a lengthy response. In my experience, effecient and hard working employees utilize this term regularly.
My name is Josh and I have been in the hospitality & entertainment industry for 25 years, 15 years of that have specifically been in management. I have experience in Kitchens, Bars, Bowling alley, Events, Restaurants, Arcade, Service, Sales, Assistant General Management and General Management. I decided to take the largest part of my work experpience; people development and training, and create my own business to welcome new employees into their work journey!
When I am not working I love to spend time with my two kids! We enjoy bike riding, roller skating, movies, and cooking delicious dinners.
This opportunity was created for students and people who are just beginning to enter their first jobs, who want to start earning cash and gaining work experience as they complete high school or college or even if they just want to work and work hard! If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that the workplace is filled with more bosses than leaders. You've heard it and seen it, bosses rule and leaders inspire. It took a lot of hard years to work my way through many bosses who either didn't know how people should be treated, or had never been held accountable for their actions! Too often I've seen brand new employees run off from toxic management and so it is my hope to reach as many "first time jobbers" that I can and prepare them for life's tricky situations.
There are three classes; Prepare, Work Ethic, and People Skills.
Where the purpose is simple.
Develop a sound foundation of "know how", create workplace expectations, align purpose and direction of why they are getting a job and what they can do with it, and explore workplace communication. But most importantly, create confidence in managing difficult people :)
